THE BREAKDOWN:

First thing you probably see is this large, vertically stretched Gothic font on the back. The verse says "This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, and I am the..." and then there's just this blank space followed by a period. It's from 1 Timothy 1:15—Paul proclaiming Christ and calling himself the worst of sinners. But we don't get that last part on the back, you're just left with "I am the..." and then nothing, this incomplete sentence that leaves you hanging.

Flip to the front and you see this oval full of flowers—vibrant, colorful, full of life. Where the back is red and stark, this side pops out at you. And if you look close, underneath some of the flowers you can actually make out the text: "worst sinner." Those are the words that should've finished the sentence on the back.

Here's the thing we're wrestling with—we are still sinners. We still mess up, still go against God, and yet we are made new in Christ. There's this beautiful picture of what it means to be saved but still being renewed daily. One day we'll be given robes of white, completely new, and we won't be the worst sinner anymore. No more death, no more tears, no more worry, no more fear. But we're not there yet, we still have all that here.

God doesn't see us as worst sinner anymore though. That's the juxtaposition. The flowers covering it—that's how God sees us now, even while the words are still there underneath. How do you even comprehend being completely forgiven, no longer seen as worst sinner, but yet still sinning? Like, what an amazing God we have.
