The middle two letters are brightest, and if you look close there's "FOR ME." embossed on them, barely visible, running off the R. It's about the gap between telling people to pray and actually being vulnerable enough to ask them to pray for you.

THE BREAKDOWN:

The letters are this cool embossed metallic silver texture, 3D in different ways—they pop out against the black backdrop and the front side is textured. The middle two letters, the R and A, have light shining on them so they're the brightest, and that's where "FOR ME." sits. You can't see all of the O and R because they kind of run off the big R in PRAY. It's just an embossed outline, not colored, really hidden and hard to see.

Here's what it's getting at—in the Christian community we tell people to pray all the time. Pray more, prayer is good. And that's true, none of that is bad. But it's countered with this lack of actually asking people to pray for us. And I'm not talking about "oh yeah life's a bit hard at the moment, can you pray for me," I'm talking about real vulnerability. Hey, I'm struggling with sin right now, can you pray for me? Hey, this terrible thing is happening in my family, can you pray for me to love them better?

There's this fake thing we do, like the Pharisee who prays on the corner so everyone can see him. We do that when we tell people to pray, but we're not vulnerable enough, we don't have the type of relationship with our brothers and sisters where we ask them to pray for us. Where we share our sins, our struggles, our triumphs. Pray for me.

It's this recognition that I am a sinner, made new in Christ, but I still struggle with sin. I still struggle with falling short, I am still broken, but I'm being renewed daily up until the point that I'm a new creation in Christ with white robes in heaven and a new body. But till then I struggle, I'm not perfect, and I need you to pray for me because I need to humble myself. I need to show you that I rely on my God. In my weakness I am made strong, so pray for me. Pray for me that I would rely on Christ, that I wouldn't strive for perfection but that I would use his strength to glorify him.

It's an encouragement to all believers, and it's a statement to non-believers—pray the prayer, talk to the Father, know your creator.
